Going on with God

1 JESUS (4)

.

.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.;
.
“You are not to go to the left or to the right unless you hear a voice ( of Jesus) saying this is the way walk there in”.. Many of us have not learned as to how to hear this voice;
 .
Just cause the preacher may say it is alright to take Charge of your life does not make it so, are you now taking Charge of your own life or are you letting God to take Charge of His life.in you?;  Now God had specifically with his voice  told (Jonah 1:2 KJV) Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me. 3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.
 .
So here is the truth, the reality still
1: Doing your own thing is still sinful, as Adam and Eve had found out or
2: doing nothing good is also sinful as Jonas found out..
for we are not our own, we all are slaves of God, belong soley to Him, and we have to first obey him and do only what he says for us to do and not what the preaches say is alright.
 .
 (Acts 5:29 KJV) Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
.
God leads us in many ways, through his word, through people, but God will confirm his will for us still too. I have had often had to learn spiritual truths the hard way, by trying to do my own thing and failing at it, and Jesus reminding me that I could do nothing without him John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.;
.
 Now I also tend to pray before I do anything and I await his instructions, if God does not lead me, or tells me not to do something, I tend not to do it.;
.
AS TO HOW TO ACTUALIZE AND APPROPRIATING THE PROMISES OF GOD EVEN IN THE BIBLE TO MANIFEST IN OUR LIVES?  TRUTHFULLY  WE CAN ONLY FIRSTLY APPROPRIATE THE PROMISES THAT GOD SPECIFICALLY GIVES US  PERSONALLY,
AND IN ORDER TO DO THAT YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO HEAR GOD’S VOICE THE WORD, WHO IS JESUS..
JESUS SAID MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE,,The Wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:24; 2:7,8) Christ is the incarnation of the pre-existent Wisdom of God. THE WORD – (John 1:1-3) .Word of God (Rev. 19:13). Christ is both the messenger and the message. The key is hearing God’s voice behind His written Word. …
.
There is a huge pitfall in Christianity: thinking the Bible is the Word of God, and thinking all the commands in the Bible referencing the Word of God, refer to the Bible; when the references really mean going to God directly and listening to the Word of God speaking to you. If you don’t listen to the Voice of God, you will never grow; you will never know from what to repent; you will never receive his changing, purifying grace; you will not find God; and you will not have any reward in the Kingdom of God or Christ. Now you can memorize the entire Bible, quoting chapter and verse, and it will gain you nothing with God. It is easy to read the Bible. It often feels good to read the Bible, as long as you discount all the requirements such as holiness, perfection, and purity while ignoring the disqualifications of anger, lust, immorality, impurity, greed, etc. The Bible wasn’t even printed until 1516, but the early church thrived for 300 plus years without it. Like many in the early church, even if you can’t read, you can be changed and purified to enter the Kingdom of Heaven as a son of God forever – by listening to God’s voice and obeying it. For he calls us all to repentance, Christhood, and the Kingdom of Heaven.. Hear this! Understand, the Bible is not the Word of God, for the many scriptures that refer to the Word of God are not referring to the Bible, but rather to the voice of God or the Lord – his words from him, the living spirit Word – otherwise you are looking to the wrong source of growth – a book, instead of God’s spirit, who desires to speak and teach you outside of the Bible. The Holy Spirit will teach you all things. John 14:26. He desires to teach you individual, personal things about yourself, and how he wants you to live, how he wants you to improve, what he wants you to deny – as well as encourage you, tell you of his love for you, and open up the scriptures to you, including the mysteries. If you limit yourself to reading the Bible, you will only get crumbs beneath the table.
.
Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Mat 4:4
.
There is no life without hearing words from the mouth of God.  But we have to listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, to hear.
.
Now if there is one Gospel, one Jesus Christ, one Holy Spirit now how come  there are thousands of different so called Christian denominations disagreeing with  each other these days still.. it is cause they are still clearly Bible ignorant, worshipping  falsely selected Bible passages, and not following the teaching of Jesus Christ over the Bible for a start and also mainly personally do not read the Bible or even know Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit still.. 95 percent of Christians do not read the Bible or pray  more than 5 minutes a day shows the basic Christian problem.
.
The light shines out of the darkness and the darkness does not comprehend it. You cannot falsely limit God to speak solely by the word of God the Bible.. but always you can confirm all God says to you by the Bible.. any new or personal revelations will not contradict the Bible for sure,
.
Too many persons still replace the true worship of God, and of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ   with the worship of something else. or their worship of God was replaced by the worship of mere human reason , as t they are  in error   tend to worship every word and letter in the part of  Bible they select, choose. Thus , they falsely even do worship their own private interpretation of scripture (compare 2 Peter 1:20).
.
This is the same error that the Pharisees fell into. They ended up worshiping Torah more than God, and, even more than Torah loving Jews, who also had worshiped their own interpretations (and the interpretations of the elders) of Torah. (They still do so today, only now they have codified those traditions into the Talmud.) Likewise, so do you worship your  own interpretation of Scripture. And  “they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.” (Romans 1:25).And “ Any religious system or leader that tells people exactly what to think and does not share with them their own struggles, imperfections and spiritual journey clearly  is a false system or leader that is not to be trusted. None of us have all the answers; none of us grasp all of the concepts required to know God fully. You falsely  wants to white-wash over these struggles and instead drive home conformity. Within conformity comes control, and control means power. A system of belief that cares so little for affairs of the heart, as well as questions of the mind, is a system of belief that is not worth having. The Judaic one now too.. Likewise, when Liberal scholars claim that Peter did not write Second Peter or that Paul did not write Ephesians, for instance, they are worshiping their own minds, instead of worshiping God. We know that “all scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). We know that God is not a liar (Titus 1:2). Not being a liar, God cannot be responsible for inspiring lies.;
.
If you don’t listen to the Voice of God, you will never grow; you will never know from what to repent; you will never receive his changing, purifying grace; you will not find God; and you will not have any reward in the Kingdom of God or Christ. The Bible is one of the tools that God uses to facilitate him talking to you personally now.. So do you read your Bible daily to find out God’s instructions for you or do you easily still just do your own thing, that which is right in your own eyes.; The people who also tell us to use only the Bible to hear God often still lie further to us.. they often also ask us also to use men’s commentaries, instead of the Holy Spirit to next interpret the Bible; When you talk about what the Bible or the  Word, or the  Scriptures say you also now honestly should mean how you alone now do interpret what the Word, the Bible, the scripture says.. as  too many of us read different things out of the same scriptures as we all do know firstly..  so who is right? Too many persons still replace the true worship of God, and of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ   with the worship of something else. or their worship of God was replaced by the worship of mere human reason , as t they are  in error   tend to worship every word and letter in the part of  Bible they select, choose. Thus they falsely even do worship their own private interpretation of scripture (compare 2 Peter 1:20).
 .
(1 Sam 3:9 KJV)  Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10  And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
.
(Exo 33:11 KJV)  And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. .
.
(Num 12:6 KJV)  And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7  My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8  With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
.
(Eph 4:11 KJV)  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
 .
Too many false persons also  till do try to define God solely based on their own small world  limited personal experiences, knowledge, and if it now especially did not happen to them it cannot happen to anyone else, it is not a true, valid experience… This is particularly true when we talk about spiritual things, spiritual growth, things like Prayer, Healing, Spiritual gifts, the Bible, Hearing God Speak, Church Operations, the Holy Spirit. Dream on!!  Many also tend to  too often have eyes on men and what they say theses days too and not on God, and what he says
.
Obviously if one Rejects the TRUTH and now embraces the  lies or partial truths they will next call all the lies as  truth.. Sadly in real life many people with partial truths in their false pride are heavily deluded by  even Satan now  into thinking that they now now it all and they do now have the whole truth and there is no need for them to make any more personal changes in their own life..they are backwards in their thinking and backwards in their logic and lack understanding and lack comprehension. They are disabled in their mind. They have a broken mind which obviously cannot think clearly.  The delusions of an illogical , inexperienced, ignorant persons are obviously  shaped a fools beliefs. For what that  fool believes or thinks or sees or interprets as truth even because it is what seems true to him, it still however, does not make the fools’  insanity the TRUTH at all. It all still  does not make his belief or the whole TRUTH, in spite of the fact that he obviously believes the logic and deceptions in his own mind. His own ignorant  belief merely makes him all the deluded and self deceived and illogical because especially  since the lazy also the fool he refuses to test or check his own belief for errors and deceptions because he is too lazy or moral to face the answers. The whole Truth still is not merely one man’s opinion, nor is it is or what many others humans might also think or believe or imagine it is. Truth is what God himself says it is.. Just because we think or believe something is Truth does not make it the Truth .Obviously if one Rejects the TRUTH, even Jesus Christ Himself,  and embrace lies or partial truths they will next falsely call them all as the truth. Probably the worst thing here to  is when the same people don’t want to subject their knowledge to questioning because they really are afraid  to face the fact that it might be false. This is usually because they are presently  benefit in some way from maintaining their own false, simplified  belief in something that is still all false and simply untenable in the long run. When loads  of people still do insist on maintaining a lie it is because it suits them and the devil.  What right do people have to benefit from untruths that cause problems for someone else? Believers Bible Study”, The Christian’s life in all aspects—intellectual and ethical, devotional and relational, up surging in worship and outgoing in witness—is supernatural; only the Spirit can initiate and sustain it. So apart from him, not only will there be no lively believers and no lively congregations, there will be no believers and no congregations at all.”
.
(Deu 12:8 KJV) Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
.
(Judg 17:6 KJV) In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
.
(Prov 12:15 KJV) The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
.
How can anyone live without the Holy Spirit these days, they hear the voice of man, the devil, demons but what not God?;
.
Many persons have a godly desire to serve the lord to become Apostles, Prophets pastors-teachers, evangelism, elders. The best way they can prepare themselves for this is firstly giving themselves all unto God and learning to hear God speaking to them.. Surprising ring how many professing Christian people do not still hear God personally speaking to them. Tragic that most so called Christians don’t hear the voice of God and are not really led by him at all. As they definitely don’t wait regularly upon the Lord including the Pentecostals.
.
In our fast food, take control society Nobody wants to wait. It would be easier to quit on a need than wait.
.
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
.
God’s voice and spiritual gifts are not the only thing the devil blinds many people too
.
Clearly one of the unique, great, valid emphasis of the Pentecostals from the other denominations is also their emphasis on personally hearing God speak. even personally and collectively speaking to us, verbally individually or in a collective setting by prophecy.
.
In today’s take charge , self control freaks society one waiting for God to tell us what next to do is still not very popular.;
.
(Psa 127:1 KJV) Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
.
(Psa 94:17 KJV) Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.
.
But still God will not be coerced into our way of doing things.
.
(Isa 55:8 KJV) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts..
.
But the Lord is saying to us that if we wait upon Him, we will not be tired, we will not be frustrated, and all of His tasks will be accomplished in the perfect amount of time http://pbulow.tripod.com/wait.html
.
(Eccl 7:5 KJV)  It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools;
 .
 BUT ALSO NOW YOUR UNREPENTANT SINS, YOUR REBELLION AND STUBBORNNESS HAS HELD BACK THE GOOD THINGS FROM HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE NOW TOO.
 .
(Eph 4:18 KJV)  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:;
.
(Exo 15:26 KJV) And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee;
.
BUT STILL  YOU EVEN SPECIFICALLY HAVE TO KNOW WHAT THOSE COMMANDMENTS ARE, THE ONES APPLICABLE FOR YOU TODAY.
.
It might be worth nothing the history of how   the  New Testament itself officially  came into being
 .
The historic Christian belief is that the Holy Spirit, who controlled the writing of the individual books, also controlled their selection and collection, thus continuing to fulfil our Lord’s promise that He would guide His disciples into all the truth.
 .
The Apostles writings, Epistles were passed around and read for the first hundreds of years before the new testament was canonized officially.. The canon of the New Testament is the set of books most Christians regard as divinely inspired and constituting the New Testament of the Christian Bible. For most Christians, it is an agreed-upon list of twenty-seven books that includes the Canonical Gospels, Acts, letters of the Apostles, and Revelation.
.
The books of the canon of the New Testament were written mostly in the first century and finished by the year 150 AD. it was 400 CE, when the first complete manuscripts of the Vulgate were issued. For the Orthodox, the recognition of these writings as authoritative was formalized in the Second Council of Trullan of 692, although it was nearly universally accepted in the mid 300’s.
 .
“The New Testament books did not become authoritative for the Church because they were formally included in a canonical list; on the contrary, the Church included them in her canon because she already regarded them as divinely inspired, recognising their innate worth and general apostolic authority, direct or indirect. The first ecclesiastical councils to classify the canonical books were both held in North Africa — at Hippo Regius in 393 and at Carthage in 397 — but what these councils did was not to impose something new upon the Christian communities but to codify what was already the general practice of those communities.”  http://www.bible-researcher.com/bruce1.html
 .
 It is very signficant to the English world William Tyndale (1494-1536) translated the New Testament from the original Greek and had it printed in 1526. He devoted his life to the project in order to “cause a boy that driveth the plough to know more of the Scriptures.” Tyndale, a Catholic priest, became a martyr for his efforts when he was executed as a heretic in 1536. Tyndale’s lucid translations of the New Testament, as well as the Old, later became the basis of the King James Authorized Version in 1611. Many common phrases come from Tyndale’s vernacular version, including “the powers that be,” “the salt of the earth” and “eat, drink and be merry.”King Kames printing of the whole Bible is what made the British Empire so great next,, he was not a Catholic..
 .
“There are over 5,600 early Greek Manuscripts of the New Testament that are still in existence. The oldest manuscripts were written on papyrus and the later manuscripts were written on leather called parchment.
•125 A.D. The New Testament manuscript which dates most closely to the original autograph was copied around 125 A.D, within 35 years of the original. It is designated “p 52” and contains a small portion of John 18. (The “p” stands for papyrus.)
•200 A.D. Bodmer p 66 a papyrus manuscript which contains a large part of the Gospel of John.
•200 A.D. Chester Beatty Biblical papyrus p 46 contains the Pauline Epistles and Hebrews.
•225 A.D. Bodmer Papyrus p 75 contains the Gospels of Luke and John.
•250-300 A.D. Chester Beatty Biblical papyrus p 45 contains portions of the four Gospels and Acts.
•350 A.D. Codex Sinaiticus contains the entire New Testament and almost the entire Old Testament in Greek. It was discovered by a German scholar Tisendorf in 1856 at an Orthodox monastery at Mt. Sinai.
•350 A.D. Codex Vaticanus: {B} is an almost complete New Testament. It was cataloged as being in the Vatican Library since 1475.”
.
“Early translations of the New Testament can give important insight into the underlying Greek manuscripts from which they were translated.
•180 A.D. Early translations of the New Testament from Greek into Latin, Syriac, and Coptic versions began about 180 A.D.
•195 A.D. The name of the first translation of the Old and New Testaments into Latin was termed Old Latin, both Testaments having been translated from the Greek. Parts of the Old Latin were found in quotes by the church father Tertullian, who lived around 160-220 A.D. in north Africa and wrote treatises on theology.
•300 A.D. The Old Syriac was a translation of the New Testament from the Greek into Syriac.
•300 A.D. The Coptic Versions: Coptic was spoken in four dialects in Egypt. The Bible was translated into each of these four dialects.
•380 A.D. The Latin Vulgate was translated by St. Jerome. He translated into Latin the Old Testament from the Hebrew and the New Testament from Greek. The Latin Vulgate became the Bible of the Western Church until the Protestant Reformation in the 1500’s. It continues to be the authoritative translation of the Roman Catholic Church to this day. The Protestant Reformation saw an increase in translations of the Bible into the common languages of the people.
•Other early translations of the Bible were in Armenian, Georgian, and Ethiopic, Slavic, and Gothic.
•1380 A.D. The first English translation of the Bible was by John Wycliffe. He translated the Bible into English from the Latin Vulgate. This was a translation from a translation and not a translation from the original Hebrew and Greek. Wycliffe was forced to translate from the Latin Vulgate because he did not know Hebrew or Greek.”
.
“Printing greatly aided the transmission of the biblical texts.
•1456 A.D. Gutenberg produced the first printed Bible in Latin. Printing revolutionized the way books were made. From now on books could be published in great numbers and at a lower cost.
•1514 A.D. The Greek New Testament was printed for the first time by Erasmus. He based his Greek New Testament from only five Greek manuscripts, the oldest of which dated only as far back as the twelfth century. With minor revisions, Erasmus’ Greek New Testament came to be known as the Textus Receptus or the “received texts.”
•1522 A. D. Polyglot Bible was published. The Old Testament was in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin and the New Testament in Latin and Greek. Erasmus used the Polyglot to revise later editions of his New Testament. Tyndale made use of the Polyglot in his translation on the Old Testament into English which he did not complete because he was martyred in 1534.
•1611 A.D. The King James Version into English from the original Hebrew and Greek. The King James translators of the New Testament used the Textus Receptus as the basis for their translations.
•1968 A.D. The United Bible Societies 4th Edition of the Greek New Testament. This Greek New Testament made use of the oldest Greek manuscripts which date from 175 A.D. This was the Greek New Testament text from which the NASV and the NIV were translated.
•1971 A.D. The New American Standard Version (NASV) was published. It makes use of the wealth of much older Hebrew and Greek manuscripts now available that weren’t available at the time of the translation of the KJV. Its wording and sentence structure closely follow the Greek in more of a word for word style.
•1983 A.D. The New International Version (NIV) was published. It also made use of the oldest manuscript evidence. It is more of a “thought-for-thought” translation and reads more easily than the NASV. “
 .
The Bible still is not the Complete Word of God.. Jesus Christ is.. Sadly many even professing Christians no longer fully follow the New testament Bible,,,
